There’s a New Mobile App for Last-Minute Bookings

Getting a hotel room at the last minute can be a challenge’ getting a last-minute booking while you’re traveling can be almost impossible. In an effort to provide travelers with an easy option, hotel booking site Booking.com has released a new mobile app called Booking Now that promises to make last-minute bookings on-the-go much faster and easier than in the past.

The company – which specializes in helping people make accommodation reservations within 48 hours – said that the new app harnesses data based on user behavior as well as GPS technology.

Users of the app get real-time search results based on their own unique traveler profile. This profile includes your desired price range and your preference for options like parking, breakfast and Wi-Fi, Bookings.com said.

The app displays most relevant available accommodations based on this profile information.

So, when you’re in the midst of a trip and want last-minute hotel reservations, the app will not only show you what’s available, but what’s available that comes closest to offering you the mix of price and features you want.

Bookings.com said that the new Booking Now app is meant to work alongside the company’s existing mobile app, and has been available for download in the U.S. in Apple’s App Store as of January 15.
