America Sends Flowers to the World

Americans send more flowers and gifts abroad than any other people on earth, according to a company that handles such deliveries.

The company, Flora2000, offers international online floral and gift delivery to more than 190 countries. According to their stats Americans comprise 41% of the market, followed by the UK, Canada, Australia and Singapore.

Flora200 cites estimates from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis showing that American consumers bought $34.3bn in floral products in 2012.

We Americans may be a bit grumpy these days but we don’t forget to send flowers.
