Men Are the Big Valentine’s Spenders
Men spend around 210 dollars per Valentine’s Day gift, on average, while women spend around 112.71 dollars, according to a new study from intelligence company Poder.IO.
Does this mean that men are more generous – or are women just better shoppers?
Men do have a preference for buying jewelry as a Valentine’s gift, and jewelry tends to be expensive.
Cheaper men choose to give clothing (with an average spend of 112.71 dollars, or gift cards (106 dollars).
C’mon, guys, gift cards? Really? You might as well buy her a set of snow tires, or something equally romantic.
Which brings up the most important point: how much you spend means less than how much you care.
