Hard Floor Cleaner That Won’t Aggravate Those with Asthma or Allergies

If cleaning hardwood floors aggravates your allergies or asthma, (or does so to someone you know), then read on.

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) has bestowed its asthma & allergy friendly certification upon Bona Free & Simple Hardwood Floor Cleaner.

Bona is a Swedish company that specializes in producing cleaning products that are pH-neutral and non-toxic.

AAFA said that its asthma & allergy friendly certification process puts cleaning products through laboratory testing to ensure they can effectively reduce allergens from hard surfaces.

Assessment for certification requires that cleaning products are evaluated based on their ability to reduce the level of allergens typically found in the home.

AAFA’s Certification Mark is awarded only to those products that have been scientifically proven to meet the strict standards set by the program. An abstract of the Certification Standard for “Non-Disinfecting Hard Surface Cleaning Sprays” is available online at www.aafa.org/certified.

Of course, keeping your floors clean is an essential part of ridding your home of the various biological and non-biological agents that can cause problems for those with allergies or asthma. But you don’t want the cleaning products themselves to be the problem.

So, here’s a cleaning product option that promises, (and is certified), to be part of the solution, not the problem.
