Fighting Fraud, On the Go

A new cross-channel platform aims to fight payments fraud affecting mobile device users.

Credit bureau Experian said it is launching riskPrecise ID with FraudNet to provide a single view of a consumer’s identity across devices.

What this means for you is that your identity can be tracked more accurately as you move from one mobile device platform to another. This is meant to cut down on security “false positives” that can make buying things inconvenient when on the go.

While fraud is up across the board, it is especially prevalent where there is no face-to-face contact between buyer and seller – such as when you use a mobile device to make a purchase.

Experian said new platform combines powerful technologies to create a more reliable profile of you that can be trusted by organizations regardless of which of your devices you use.

Hopefully these new technologies will protect your money while making mobile shopping faster and easier.
